Webinar: Academic Freedom in Today’s Academy

We are pleased to make available, for our membership and interested stakeholders, a recording of the recent webinar entitled “Academic Freedom in Today’s Academy” arranged by the Faculty Association. This session features Dr. James Turk, the Director of the Centre for Free Expression at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Dr. Turk boasts an impressive academic background, having graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, earned an M.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He has also served as a Knox Fellow at the University of Cambridge, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of University Teachers, and Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto.
