Statement of solidarity with CUPE Ontario

The Faculty Association of the University of Calgary (TUCFA) deplores the actions of the Ontario government in using the Notwithstanding Clause to protect its assault on the rights of education workers in that province to exercise their right to free collective bargaining. We call on the Ford government to repeal this legislation immediately. We stand behind our colleagues in CUPE Ontario in their efforts to exercise their constitutional rights and their quest for a fair contract.
