The Election Committee has released the results of the vote to update the merit process. Ballots were issued to 1839 electors (only ongoing members; sessional members were not included in this vote) using Simply Voting on June 7, 2023, and voting closed on June 26, 2023. A total of 877 ballots were received and counted representing a response rate of 48% percent.
A total of 812 (93%) voted yes while 65 (7%) voted no. There were no abstentions.
