The Faculty Association and the Administration recently agreed to provide an additional option for those serving shorter terms as Department Heads or Associate Deans to be eligible for a corresponding shorter administrative leave period. In addition to the administrative leave eligibility set out in Article 17.1 of the Collective Agreement as it relates to five-year appointments, an academic staff member who renders three consecutive years of service as a Department Head or Associate Dean, in their initial appointment into such role, shall be eligible for a six-month administrative leave at 100% of the academic staff member’s salary.
