A Message from the President-Elect

I am honoured and humbled to accept the position of President of The Faculty Association of the University of Calgary, effective July 1, 2023.

I want to express my gratitude to the current President, Dr. David Stewart, the Executive, the Board of Directors, and the Association’s administrative staff led by its Executive Director, Sheila Miller, for their tireless efforts in leading the Association through the dark days of the COVID pandemic and for laying the foundation for the continued success of the Association.

Together, the Board, the Executive, the Association’s staff, and I will work assiduously to address the challenges that lie ahead. We will listen attentively to you and act to support all members to enhance their academic freedom, salary, benefits, and related matters while promoting a culture of fairness, equity, inclusivity, and diversity.
